| Objective:The aim of study is to research the material basis and functional mechanism of Frying Semen Raphani which moves qi and removes food retention. Method:Firstly, we'll find different parts by the method of systematic extraction and choose the part with improving gastrointestinal movement by the way of dying the small intestine with carbon in rats. Then it is compared with the positive control group (Cisapride) .We observe that it affects rats' emptying liquid and solid, the animal model of inhibiting the gastrointestinal movement by Atropine and Dopamine and the level of MTL in blood . Results: N-hexane part can improve the gastrointestinal movement more than any others. But the effect can be prevented by Atropine. N-hexane part can increase the level of MTL in blood, too. The result is similar with Cisapride (P>0.05). Conclusion: Frying Semen Raphani's function is relation to improving gastrointestinal movement. The improving part is n-hexane one.
