Infantile Stomachache is one of the main diseases in pediatric Spleen-Stomach Disease and it's incidence is tended to rise. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the diseases has been known for a long history and there was much rich experience on it's treatment which have acquired affirmative effects. But there were still lots of inconsistent problems in clinical research on Infantile Stomachache, such as diagnosis, TCM typing, and judgment standard of effect et al. The research concluded the gastroscopic test results from which have complete TCM clinical materials in 300 cases with stomachache and 'gastroscopic signs' was come into use in the treatment based on TCM different syndrome of Infantile Stomachache. By this way, we expected to make an useful attempt at promoting clinical research on Infantile Stomachache which should be more scientifizitional and normalizational. This thesis contains literature review and clinical study. In the part of literature review, firstly we made extracts about the name, pathogeny, pathogenesis and selection of treatment based on the differential diagnosis from literatures of Infantile Stomachache about TCM. Secondly, we summarized the treatment based on either different syndrome or different diagnosis and specialized prescription for special type in modern Chinese Medicine. Finally, we revealed the present situation and weakness of the research on Infantile Stomachache. In clinical observation, on one hand, we collected the clinical data of the 300 subjects and made TCM different syndrome. Then, we observed carefully about the mucosa of supper digestive tract under the gastroscope and took some pictures partly. So we could analyze the different gastroscopic diagnosis related to TCM and Western Medicine. On the other hand, all patients who underwent endoscopy were studied with rapid urease test and histology at the same time. Most of the patients were also tested with serology and 13C-urea breath test (13C-UBT). We studied the diseases corresponding to Western Medicine included in Infantile Stomachache. Furthermore, we discussed the internal relationship and regularity in TCM syndrome, gastroscopic diagnosis, mucosa syndrome and helicobacter pylori (HP) infection. The main conclusions are summarized as follows:1.Chronic Stomachache in child involves chronic gastritis (CG, 53.3%), duodenitis (DI, 8.7%), chronic gastritis-duodenitis (CG-DI, 19%), digestibility ulcer (16.3%)and chronic esophagitis (CE, 1%) et al. The total illness rate by endoscopy is equal to 98.3%。2.Chronic Stomachache cases are generally wetness-heat syndrome or deficiency -cold syndrome. But there is a obvious diversity of different TCM syndromes under the different gastroscopic diagnosis. It is found that chronic superficial gastritis(CSG) and DI mostly falls into wetness-heat syndrome, while CG-DI and digestibility ulcer is mostly deficiency-cold syndrome. Digestibility ulcer has high incidence with blood stasis syndrome too.3.Mucosa Different Type matches with TCM Different Syndrome in more than 1/3 cases. This shows TCM Different Syndrome have a microcosmic pathological base. But sometimes the two differs from each other. When both of them are identical, it seems that treatment have the best effect. The other way round, we should take them into accounts at the same time. 4.This research shows 96(32%) cases have infected HP, in which the HP positive rate of duodenal ulcer(DU) patients is up to 47.5%; gastric ulcer(GU)is 44.4%; CSG is 30.3%; CG-DI is 28.1%; and DI is 23.1%. It is obvious that HP infection belongs to 'evil Qi' in TCM, which is one of the important factors bringing on Infantile Stomachache.5.Wetness-heat evil is one of the main pathogeny to result in HP infection of Infantile Stomachache patients whose main characteristic of the digestive tract's mucosa is blood-heat stasis in stomach and intestines. So we considered to add up some medicine, such as heating-clearing and dampness-drying drugs, cooling blood and promoting blood circulation drugs and regulati...
