| Objective: To observe the effect of "Yi Qi Xuan Fei long Bian Tang" to constipation on old patients (due to Qi Deficiency).Methods: A total of 60 outpatients were included in the study.30 ofthem received "Yi Qi Xuan Fei Tong Bian Tang" orally at a dose of 100ml tid for 7 days. These patients formed the study group while the remaining 30,the control group received Ma Ren Pill orally at a dose of 9g qd for 7 days. We studied all the cases older than 60 years. All the cases were followed up for a period of 3 months.Results: The total effective rate of the study group reached 96.7%,which was significantly different from the control group(p<0.05).There was also significant difference in symptoms improvement between the study group and the control group.Conclusions: The prognosis of constipation on old patients (due to Qi Deficiency) treated by "Yi Qi Xuan Fei Tong Bian Tang" is satisfactory. |
