Aim: To establish relationship between liver meridian , gallbladder meridian with the the multifocal ERG of the retinas by acupunture treatments in differents points of metioned meridiansMethod: analysis about the 6 rings and the latent time, swings, reaction densities of wave N and wave P in the 4 quadrants on the mfERG before and after acupuncture on the the 50 healthy volunteers which have the mydri asis before acupuncture and were divided into 5 groups at random with unilateral eye according to the points Taichong(Liv3),Ligou(Liv5), Qiuxu(GB40) Guangming (GB37) and non-meridian pointRESULTS: acupuncture on Taichong (LIV 3) clearly affect wave P of the first ring wave N of the fifth ring and wave N of the dimension under nose of the retina, P<0.05. Applications on Ligou (LIV 5) modify significantly the wave N of the third ring, the wave N and P of the dimension over nose; and the N of the quadrants under nose of the retina, P<0.05. Applications to Qiuxu (GB 40) affect the waves N of all the retina, the wave a of the sixth ring, waves N and P of the quadrant over nose as the wave N of the quadrant under nose, P<0.05. Applications on the Guangming (GB 37) affect -the waves N and P of the retina, and wave P of the dimension over nose of retina were, P<0.05. pplcations on Non-meridian point has effect on the wave of the fifth ring, P<0.05.Conclusion: Acupunture treatments over Taichong (LIV 3) , Quixui (GB 40), Ligou (LIV 5), Guangming(GB 37) can influnce the mf ERG, but for Non-meridian point group, it does not seem to be affected. There are certain connections between the liver meridian with the over-nose dimension and above-nose dimension of the retinas. There are also links between the gallbladder meridian with the over-nose dimension, above-noise dimension and the over temporal portion of the brain dimension.
