| Objective: this study is performed to examine the effect of the Bu-shen-huo-xue (BSHX)method on the abnormal bone metabolism of the renal bone disease in patients with chronic renal failure and quality of life of patients with renal bone disease.Renal bone disease (RBD), also called renal osteodystrophy, as an complication of CRF, seriously influenced the health of the hemodialyzed patients. Chinese medicine presume that weaken kidney qi, blood stasis, turbidity and toxin damaged bone, so the Bu-shen-huo-xue method which can reinforce the kidney qi, promote the formation of bone marrow as well as smooth the qi and blood was used to treat the RBD. The research includes the experiment of the clinical trials and the study of quality of life of patient, by which the effects and the mechanism of the Bu-shen-huo-xue method's action on the abmormal bone metablism of RBD patients can be revealed. On the other hand, the effect of the Bu-shen-huo-xue method was compared with the Kong-bai (DZ) method.Clinical data and method:We collect 94 CRF patients, 40 patients who fit the select principals were selected and randomly allocated to BSHX ,.Other 20 patients were selected and randomly allocated to DZ. The former group take BSHX medicine and the latter group don't take Chinese medicine. The time of treatment is 2 moths.The symptomatologic observation table and the form of quality of life would be filled in and the biochemical indicators such as Scr, BUN, serum Ca, serum P, ALP, PTH, BKP, TRAP, BMD would be detected when each course began and ended. The observed symptoms were devided into 5 grades from the most serious to the lightest marked with 5 scores to 1 score . The effect size of the observed symptoms and quality of life would be counted. treatments should not be given calcium as well as VD should be avoided.Result:(1) Deficiency syndromes is the basis of RBD.There are 90 patients with deficiency syndromes,accout for 95.7 percent of total patients.The complexion... |
