Conclusion There was higher level of Cx43 expression in normal pancreatic tissues than in carcinomas. The decrease of Cx43protein expression level and aberrant localization of Cx43 may play an importment role in pancreatic cancer, is significantly associated with the proliferation, invasion and metastasis, but not with the apoptosis of pancreatic cancer. The expression levels of Cx43 and PCNA are important predictors for judging the proliferation, differentiation, invasion, metastasis and prognosis of pancreatic cancer.
