Since 4 different ratio Danggui Buxue Tang have different pharmacological effects, the components or the contents of the components should not be the same. The paper aims at two purposes. The one is to compare each ingredient between every Danggui Buxue Tang, and in the same time between Danggui Buxue Tang and the herbs they comprise: Radix Angelica sinensis, Radix Astragali. The other one is tying to find if contents of the ingredients change with Radix Angelica sinensis's dosage regularly. The samples are the complicated systems hardly to be baseline separated, which are the big difficulties for qualitative and quantitive analysis. While, with the help of heuristic evolving latent projections (HELP) resolution upon the two-dimension data generated by hyphenated instruments, we could easily get chromatographic curve, UV or mass information of every pure ingredient. They are useful for both qualification and quantification.Of the components, which are not volatile, 7 are given clear qualitative results, and 8 are categorized. From the qualitative results, we find out, compared with Radix Angelica sinensis and Radix Astragali, some components supposed to have in those four different ratio Danggui Buxue Tang lose in the different way. In paper the possible explanations are also given.Of the volatile components, we make it clear 45 components. 15 among them are firstly reported in the paper. The results also show, in terns of components, there is no difference between Danggui Buxue Tang. So is it between Danggui Buxue Tang and Radix Angelica sinensis. The components of Radix Astragali are much less than Radix Angelica sinensis. Besides they also exist in Radix Angelica sinensis. In quantitative results, the regularities between contents of some components and the dosage of Radix Angelica sinensis are found. The meaning of the paper lies in revealing connotation of traditional Chinese medicine's prescription from chemical perspective, and furthergiving the physical supports for relation research between ratio and pharmacology of Danggui Buxue Tang.
