Objective To observe the effects of the oil of Hipprphae rhamnoides ( OHR ) on the toxic safety of animals and alleviating little mice'physical fatigue and further provide scientific evidence on alleviating physical fatigue function of the OHR in health food. Methods Carrying out acute toxicity test on little mice.Dose is 20ml/kg.bw; subacute toxicity test on big mice: using the 10 times,50 times,100 times of the recommended dose ,just as 0.55g /kg.bw, 2.75g /kg.bw, 5.50g /kg.bw and negative control group,give the big mices for 30 days,20 animals per team,male 50% and female 50%;Ames test:the dose is 0.2 mg/plate,0.5 mg/ plate,1.0 mg/ plate,2.5 mg/ plate,5.0mg/ plate;Little mice sperm abnormality test and little mice bone marrow cell micronucleus test: the dose is 2.5 g /kg, 5.0 g /kg, 10.0g /kg.bw;swimming test under weight:using 5 times, 10 times,30 times of the recommended dose,just 0.275g /kg.bw, 0.55g /kg.bw, 1.65g /kg.bw and negative control group,10 animals per team ; examing of blood urea and lactic acid. Results OHR'LD50 through mouth is more than 10g /kg.bw.Subacute toxicity test displayed: every biochemistry index was normal and there was no difference among every team.there was no difference among bodies and weights in per team.Ames test result displayed:there was no difference among spontaneous reverse mutation and per dose team,but significant difference between spontaneous reverse mutation and positive team. Little mice bone narrow cell micronucleus test displayed:there was no difference between negative control group and per dose team, there was significant difference among positive control group,negative control group and per dose team. Little mice sperm abnormality test results were agree with the little mice bone marrow cell micronucleus test.Swimming test under weight displayed:the swimming times of per dose team were longer than the control group,the difference is predominant(p<0.05);blood urea level decreased while the dose increased. And there was predominant difference(p<0.05) between high dose team and control group.Lactic acid in blood level decreased while dose increased.Although there is no prenominant difference between per team and control group(p> 0.05),but the area under per team'blood lactic curve is less than the area of the control group after swimming under weight. Conclusion OHR has no toxic effect after acute toxicity test,subacute toxicity test and descendent toxicity test,it is in line with"eatables safety toxicology appreciation procedure and methods", furthermore,it could boost the level of little mice'blood urea and lactic acid,this suggest that OHR has effect in alleviating physical fatigue.
