Seeds of Nigella glandulifera Freyn.(Ranunculaceae), mainly planted in Xinjiang and Xishuangbanna, have been used folk medicine as a toxinicide, a diuretic and for the treatment of stranguria caused by urinary stone, pyretic stranguria, tinnitus and amenorrhea[1] .In order to do further research on the seeds of Nigella glandulifera Freyn, the chemical investigation on the 30% ethanol extracts were carried out. By using silica gel C.C., Sephadex LH-20 and ODS, 15 compounds were isolated, morever, the structures of 13 compounds were identified by their physico-chemical characteristic and spectra data, which were called daucosterol (1) , sucrose (2) , p-hydroxybenzoic acid (3) , 3-O-((?)-D-xylopyranosyl-(1(?)3) -(?)-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1(?)2) -(?)-L-arabinpyranosyl]-28-O-[(?)-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1(?) 4) -(?)-D-glucopyranosyl-(1(?)6) -(?)-Z)-glucopyranosyl] hederagenin (4) , 3-O-[(?)-L-rhamno-pyranosyl-(1(?)2) -(?)-L-arabinpyranosyl]-28-O-[(?)-Z-rhamnopyranosyl-(1(?)4) -(?)-D-glucopyran osyl-(1(?)6) -(?)-D-glucopyranosyl] hederagenin (5) , 3-O-[(?)-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1(?)2) ??)-L-arabinpyranosyl]-28-O-[(?)-D-glucopyranosyl-(1(?)6) -(?)-D-glucopyranosyl] hederagenin (6) , 3-O[(?)-Z-rhamnopyranosyl-(1(?)2) -(?)-Z-arabinpyranosyl]-28-O-(?)-D-glucopyranosylhederagenin (7) , 3-O-[(?)-D-xylopyranosyl-(1(?)3) -(?)-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1(?)2) -(?)-L-arabinpyranosyl]-28-O-(?)-D-glucopyranosyl hederagenin (8) , 3-0-[(?)-D-xylopyranosyl-(1(?)3) -(?)-Z-rhamnopyranosyl-(1(?)2) -(?)-Z-arabinpyranosyl]-hederagenin (9) , 3-O-[(?)-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1(?)2) -(?)-L-arabinpyranosyl]-hederagenin (10) , kaempferol 3-O-[(?)-D-glucopyranosyl-(1(?)2) -(?)-D-galactopyranosyl-(1(?)2) -glucopyranosyl] (11) , kaempferol 3-O-[(?)-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1(?)6) -(?)-D-glucopyranosyl-(1(?)2) -(?)-D-galactopyranosyl-(1(?)2) -glucopyranosyl] (12) , [(?)-D-glucopyranosyl-(6(?)1) -(?)-D-glucopyranosyl]-2-methyl-5-isopropyl pairphenolic glycoside (13) . Among them compound (11) were isolated from Nigella glandulifera Freyn for the first time, compounds (5) ? (6) ? (7) ? (8) were isolated from Nigella genus for the first time, compounds (12) and (13) were novel compounds.
