The plant of Schisandraceae is divided into Schisandra and Kadsura, which was widespread in each place.China have the most plant of Schisandraeace in the world. The fruits of Schisandra chinensis Baill and Schisandra sphenanthera Rehd.et Wils are used as antitussive and tonic angents under the names of Wuweizi and Nan-wuweizi in traditional Chinese medicine, which have high economical values.Previous studies reported that lignans and trit erpenoids are major chemical constituents from S.sphenanthera and lignans are principal active compounds with liver-protective,anti-inflammative, anti-oxidative,anti-tumor and anti-HIV bioactivities. As a result of the wide distribution of S.sphenanthera and the differences of region and habitat, there were notable differences in the type and content of lignans,of which effect the lowering SGPT level. Therefore, the quality of S.Sphenantherae was not steady. This thesis has studied the chemical constituents of the fruits of S.sphenanthera.By using of many kinds of silical gel chromatography, seven compounds were isolated from the fruits of S.sphenanthera and five of them were elucidated by means of nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)and Mass spectrum(MS).These five known compounds were schisantherin A(1),deoxyschizandrin(2), catechin(3),β-sitosterol(4)and daucosterol(5).This thesis contains three charpters.Chapter 1 introduced the recent advances of chemical constituends and bioactivities of the family Schisandreceae;Chapter 2 reported the chemical constituents from S.sphenanthera.The conclusions were reviewed in the last chapter.
