Background: Colorectal cancer is a common one of gastrointestinal cancer, the incidence of colorectal cancer in North America, Western Europe, the Nordic region and other developed countries higher, usually malignant tumor of the first and second, China's incidence rate of colorectal cancer in The world to see relatively low, ranking the first three cancer, the mortality rate ranked four, but over the past 30 years have marked the rise. Colorectal cancer has become a serious threat to the health of our people one of the malignant tumor, more and arouse people's attention. At present the treatment of colorectal cancer with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biological treatment, such as Chinese medicine with Western medicine in the treatment-based. Chinese medicine is a great treasure-house of China, the Chinese nation for thousands of years from the healthy development of the irreplaceable role. At present, Chinese medicine in the treatment of malignant tumors on the application of broad, also play a greater role, but the effect is still limited. Therefore, how to play the expertise of Chinese medicine, Western medicine in improving the treatment of colorectal cancer and cancer of the effect of tumor Chinese medicine sector has become the focus of the study. Objective: To observe the Integrated Treatment of colon cancer after long-term effect. Methods: The Ministry of Health in Japan Friendship Hospital from April 2002 to April 2005 in line with the standards included 125 patients with the relevant information for retrospective analysis of collating, filled out registration forms, and telephone follow-up, follow-up results of clinical data entered into the database , SPSS15.0 application software for statistical analysis, the recurrence rate of two cards to test, a Kaplan-Meier method to calculate the median survival time.Results:1. The deadline for follow-up to date location, 125 patients, there were 31 cases of recurrence, of which 65 cases of patients with Western medicine group, the recurrence of a total of 21 cases of transfer of cases, accounting for 32.3 percent, in Integrative Medicine group, there were 60 patients, metastasis and recurrence Case of 10 cases, accounting for 16.7 percent, respectively, P <0.05 (P = 0.043), had a significant difference.2. Western medicine in the treatment group transferred 21 cases of recurrence, the median disease-free survival period of 9 months in Integrative Medicine group, 10 cases of recurrence, the median disease-free survival time was 9.5 months.3. Western medicine group killed a total of 12 cases, the median survival period of 12 months; Integrative Medicine in the group killed a total of five cases, the median survival time for 22 months. The cumulative survival rate results log-rank test, the X2 = 4.446, P <0.05 (P = 0.035), had a significant difference, suggesting that combining traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment in improving the survival rate and extended overall survival period is better than purely Western medicine treatment .Conclusion:1. Colon cancer patients receiving treatment with traditional Chinese and western medicine, can significantly reduce the rate of tumor recurrence.2. Compared with pure traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment, cancer patients receiving treatment with traditional Chinese and western medicine can improve the survival rate of patients, extended survival in patients with the total. In the extended disease-free survival in Integrated Treatment slight advantage, but there is no statistical significance.
