Agrimonia pilosa Ledeb.(Rosaceae)has been used as traditional Chinese medicine.A. pilosa is widely distributed in the whole country of China.Pharmacologycal studies showed that the aerial parts of A.pilosa have the activities of antibacterial,antiparasite,sterilization and anticancer.The root sprouts of A.pilosa were taeniafuge agent.The HPLC method for the determination of agrimophol from different parts of A.pilosa was established,which is sensitive,accurate,rapid and suitable for the quality control of the medicinal material. By means of repeatly column chromatography,PTLC,HPLC,recrystalization,10 compounds were isolated from the 95%ethanol extract of the root sprout of A.pilosa.On the basis of physico-chemical characters and spectroscopic analysis,their structures were identified as:agrimophol(1),pseudo-aspidin(2),agrimol B(3),taxifolin(4), agrimonolide-6- O-β-D-glucopyranoside(5),isoengeletin(6),kaempferol 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(7),gallic acid(8),β-sitosterol(9),daucosterol(10)).Among them,compounds 6,7 were isolated from this genus for the first time.The 13C-NMR and 2D-NMR of agrimophol were taken for the first time.
