Attending Characteristics And Clinical Application Of. Mu Points With Points Rule In The Study

Objective: To sum up the data about the main symptom and acupuncture prescriptions of front-mu in the medical literature from ancient to modern,then concluded the characteristics of indication and principle and regulation of acupoint compatibility.Methods: Searched 703 ancient books about acupuncture of Qing dynasty and before,199 books involving the concerned matter are included,and the articles published on Chinese medical magazines,about 2129 articles recording the main symptom of front-mu are included.Built a data-base,input the literature data and counted the appearance frequency of the main symptom and acupoint compatibility,then concluded the characteristics of indication and principle and regulation of acupoint compatibility.Results: Built a data-base,input the literature data and counted the appearance frequency of the main symptom and acupoint compatibility.As a result,the acupuncturists select the front-mu acupoint mainly of treating the disease of its corresponding and internal-external zang or fu organ or nearby tissues and organs directly and effectively.The deep-related viscera Syndrome also be treated by needling the front-mu acupoints of Renmo (the Triple Energizer Syndrome can be treated by needling the front-mu acupoints of Renmo). The front-mu has various methods of acupoint compatibility.The commonly used ones are briefly introduced below:compatibility of shu and mu acupoints, compatibility of mu and he-sea acupoints,compatibility of the front-mu acupoints, compatibility of the regional acupoints,compatibility of the front-mu and yuan-source acupoints,compatibility of the front-mu and crossing acup- oints etc.Compatibility of the front-mu acupoints is more common,and can also see Qihai,Zusanli and Zhongwan were added,Zhongji,Guanyuan and Sanyinjiao were needled at same.Conclusion: Through summing up and analyzing ancient and modern literature,we summarized the characteristics of indication and principle and regulation of acupoint compatibility and the front-mu prescriptions with suitable compatibility to cure common disease.
