The Academic Thoughts Of Treating Laozhai And The Compatibility Characteristics Of Prescriptions In Hong Lu Dian Xue

Purpose:We summarized the statistics of the medicines contained in Gong Juzhong's "Hong Lu Dian Xue" and analyzed the data to explore the characteristics of the compatibility of the prescriptions in this book,by using traditional Chinese medicine prescription compatibility theories combined with modern information processing techniques and data mining techniques.In this way,we can summarize Gong Juzhong's academic thoughts and the drug used characteristics of treating LaoZhai,expecting to display the academic thoughts of the famous scholars preferably and provide guidance for the prevention and the treatment of tuberculosis.Methods:1.Historical review:Exploring the generations physicians' understanding process about LaoZhai and it's etiology and pathogenesis,as well as the development process of the prescription by reviewing historical literature and periodical.2.Statistical method:Using Excel,SPSS 22.0 software to summarize the frequency of usage?property?flavor?and channel tropism of the drugs,and establish database.3.Data mining technique:Using association rules and Apriori algorithm of data mining software IBM SPSS Modelerl8.1 to excavate and analyze the drug database,and get the drug pair which would make sense.Using SPSS 22.0 System Cluster Analysis to excavate high frequency drugs,in order to find the drug group with Similar data features.Results:1.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,53 prescriptions are chosen from Hong Lu Dian Xue,110 kinds of drugs are divided into 16 categories,which include tonic medicine,heat-clear medicine,eliminate phlegm and stop cough medicine,astringent medicine and so on.These drugs are being used 547 times,most of which are tonic medicine,being used 241 times,is about 44 percent of total.While the clear-heat medicine,being used 94 times,is about 17 percent of total,and the eliminate phlegm and stop cough medicine,which was being used 54 times,is about 10 percent of total.2.The four property result shows that:the cold drug is 40 percent of the total,while the drugs of neutral nature is 30 percent and the warm drug is 28 percent.And the flavor result shows that:sweet drugs are the most,about 392 times,nearly 42 percent of the total,followed by bitter drugs,about 273 times,nearly 29 percent of the total.Besides,predominantly pungent drugs are about 113 times,nearly 12 percent of the total.Meanwhile,the meridian tropism result shows that:most of the drugs are enter the lung,heart,kidney,liver,spleen and the stomach.3.The results of data mining:We analyzed the 10 kinds of different compatibility of medicines in theory,including Ginseng and Astragalus,Ginseng and Lilyturf root,Lilyturf root and Liquorice,Lilyturf root and anemarrhena rhizome,White peony root and Liquorice,Angelica and White peony root,Astragalus and Angelica,Lilyturf root and Asparagus,Angelica and Radix rehmanniae praeparata,Lilyturf root and Schisandra.4.The result of cluster analysis:31 high frequency drugs are divided into 7 classes,which include enrich yin to repress yang,clear lung and soften fire,tonify the lung and kidney,stop coughing and resolve phlegm etc.Conclusion:1.Gong thought that the Pathological mechanism of Laozhai "water deficiency with effulgent fire,which would damage the lung",and the therapeutic principle is "enrich water,clear the lung and soften pathogenic fire".Gong coordinate used treating methods to treat Laozhai depending on different syndromes.The methods which include enrich yin and reduce deficiency fire,direct internal heat of the bone,clear the lung to resolve the phlegm,tonify the lung and replenish the kidney,fortify the spleen and calm the heart etc.And the characteristics of drugs.he used are sweet and cold,or sweet and neutral nature,while the bitter and cold are used less.2.Gong payed more attention to lung and kidney when he treated LaoZhai,and regulated the spleen and stomach.He thought that lung is the source of the yin,Qi and blood,while kidney is the root of life.Meanwhile,he also make the idea of prevention before illness,as well as combined prevention with treatment..3.Gong's principle of making prescription is“Verify the syndromes by using pulse,then make up the treating method based on the syndrome,finally define the prescription based on the treating method";and the method of making prescription is "the prescription and the syndrome should be corresponded","the compatibility of property and flavor".4.Gong was expert in using Ginseng and Astragalus.Integrated using the thoughts of "the prescription and the syndrome should be corresponded","clear heat by using the drugs which property is sweet and flavor is warm","mutual rooting of yin and yang" creatively.
