Objective To investigate the associatoin of C-C chemokine receptor 5(CCR5) gene promoter region 59029G/A polymorphism with the people of impaired glucose regulation in Lincang Va Ethnic of Yunnan province.Methods The polymorphism of CCR5 gene promoter 59029G/A in 109 unrelated Lincang Va Ethnic impaired glucose regulation(including 96 impaired fasting glucose,7 impaired glucose tolerance and 6 both impaired fasting glucose and impaired glucose tolerance) and 60 normal control were detected by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP).The genotype frequency and allele frequency and relative clinical data were compared between groups.Results(1) The age,Waist hip ratio(WHR),Systolic blood pressure(SBP),Diastolic blood pressure (DBP),Fasting plasma glucose (FPG),Albumin,Serum total protein (STP),Aspartate aminotransferase(AST),Total cholesterol (TC) in IGR were higher than NC and the Alanine aminotransf erase (ALT),Serum creatinine were significantly lower than NC. (2) The number of people with abnormal blood pressure in IGR were significantly higher than NC. (3) There were no significant differences in genotype frequencies or allele frequencies between NC and IGR. (4)The ALT in G/A genotype was higer than G/G genotype and the TC in G/A genotype was higer than other two genotype.There were no significant difference in other clinical data in impaired glucose regulation group with different genotype.(5)Logistic regression analysis showed that age,SBP,WHR and LDL were risk factors of IGR and the SUA was negative related to IGR.Conclusion The CCR5 promoter region 59029G/A polymorphism may not associated with IGR and may be not the risk factors of IGR;The age,SBP,WHR and LDL were risk factors of IGR in LincangVa Ethnic of Yunnan province. Objective To investigate the discrepancy of C-C chemokine receptor 5 (CCR5) gene promoter region 59029G/A polymorphism between the people of normal glucose regulation in Han and Va Ethnic Chinese of Yunnan province. Methods According our previous research,the polymorphism of CCR5 gene promoter 59029G/A genotype frequency and allele frequency were compared between 60 normal Han Chinese and 60 normal Va Ethnic. Results (1)There were significant differences in genotype frequencies between Han Chinese and Va Ethnic(x2=164.52, p=0.000<0.05).The G/A,A/A genetype in Va Ethnic group were significantly higher than those in Han group(x2=49.36, p=0.000<0.05,x2=33.29, p=0.000<0.05),The G/Ggenetype in Va Ethnic group were significantly lower than those in Han group(x2=33.29, p=0.000<0.05).(2) there were great significant differerces between allele frequencies among the groups,the A allel frequency in Va Ethnic group were significantly higher than that in Han group(x2=154.18, p=0.000<0.05).Conclusion The CCR5 promoter region 59029G/A polymorphism may different between the people of normal glucose regulation in Han and Va Ethnic Chinese of Yunnan province. The G/A,A/A genetype in Va Ethnic group may significantly higher than those in Han group;the A allel frequency in Va Ethnic group were significantly higher than that in Han group.
