Heritage Of The Local Folk Music In College Teaching

Local folk music embodies immense historical, cultural, civil and aesthetic values. It serves social recognition, moral cultivation, emotional exchanges, ethic development and educational support for values inheritance. However, the development environment for folk music in many places is far from satisfactory and the conventional ways of inheritance can not meet the demand of the reality. So it is urgent to call for the participation of higher learning institutions i.n spreading local folk music. To make full use of local folk music resources and enrich the college music education, the whole society needs more efforts from local universities.The project revolves around and makes theoretical and practical researches on the theme of "The inheritance of local folk music through local university education" through speculative strategy, elucidation and investigation. The emphasis of this project is to prove the relationship between values of local folk music and its inheritance through college education. Investigations have carried out in four universities administered by Anhui province. Besides, the project has also offered some tentative suggestions on the inheritance work of local folk music in universities and wishes to make some useful explorations on the practice of inheriting folk music in local universities.
