Mr Yuanren Zhao is one of the most Influential linguists and chinese language teaching experts. He is also the first person who adopts modern linguistics theory to study chinese language comprehensively, pioneers and promoters of dialects investigation, internationally recognized master of linguistics, American linguist said, "Mr Zhao has never made any mistakes in language". Mr Zhao is the earlier founder of Modern Chinese Linguistics, has made a thorough study on Chinese Dialectology, Phonetics, Grammar, Sociolinguistics and General Linguistics, wrote and published numerous influential papers and monographs that enjoyed a high reputation among Scholars at home and abroad, and he himself is known as the "Father of Chinese Linguistics". Mr Zhao finished multitudinous study and works for whole life, just for linguistics published 14 monographs, translated 5 Bibliographies,67 professional papers.Mr Zhao has made outstanding contributions to Chinese linguistics study:he has made a seminal contribution to Chinese dialects investigation, the first scholar who adopts modern linguistics theory to study chinese language, laid a solid foundation to the later dialects study. Phonetics that also refers to research in standard pronunciation of modern Chinese is one of the most important parts of his research. He is the first scholar adopts theoretical methods of structural linguistics to study Chinese grammar successfully. It is worth mentioning that his overseas study experience through the decades, especially the pioneering practice of overseas chinese language teaching, which help westerners understand Chinese language and then through a better understanding of Chinese ideology and culture.However, it is still a blank space in studying teaching methods and teaching philosophy from the perspective of foreign language teaching. Mr Zhao has successful experience of learning several kind of languages, additionally with the teaching experience of language and linguistics in American university, all of which formed his view of teaching and learning languages and reflected in his works. All of these views play a great role whether in theory or practice of teaching in the future. This paper from the way of combining academic thinking and teaching practice of Mr Zhao tries to investigate the his influence over view of foreign language teaching, especially the relation with contemporary chinese international teaching inphilosophy and the effects to the foreign language teaching, and expects to give some inspiration to contemporary chinese teaching.The past three decades, chinese international education has been impacted by a wide variety of Western theories, presented as slavish imitation of others and loss of one's own individuality and use impractical means to solve a problem. Under such a circumstances, to review and consult the contribution and influence Mr Zhao has made on chinese international education, it will undoubtedly point out the right direction for resolving existing problems. Obviously, in accordance with the current problems occurred in the chinese international education to study Mr Zhao is more targeted and realistic.
