The concept of “returning to practice” in the field of teacher education isgetting more attentions recently. With the reform in basic education and teachereducation mechanism, people recognize the importance of practice-orientededucation curriculum. The educational practice curriculum includes early educationfieldwork, education training and education practice. This paper focused oneducational practice curriculum for English pre-serviced teacher, and tried to fingerout the way to improve the curriculum by surveying and analyzing.The participants consisted of some major as English education students from anormal university, and some major as English education students from aninternational study university. Some of these students,university leaders and teachersgot interviewed meanwhile. The result indicated that there are some problems aboutthe educational practice curriculum for English pre-serviced teacher, e.g. the timelineand the content structure of the curriculum were unreasonable, the evaluation of thecurriculum was too simple, the cooperation of universities and partner schools workedineffective and so on. In the last part, it gave some suggestions to better the currentsituations about educational practice curriculum for English pre-serviced teacher: totransform the curriculum concepts; to adjust the curriculum system; to promote thetransformation of curriculum evaluation; to strengthen the cooperation between theuniversities and the partner schools. |
