| The main researching object of this article is the paper-cutting of clothing tradition of two Yi nationality village communities (Mayou and Zuomen) in Yaoan western hill, Chuxiong Yi Nationality Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Mayou and Zuomen keep national costume tradition more intact than other regions of Yaoan. Both belong to a cultural transmission region of Yi national epic Meige. Folk customs, Meige, paper-cutting and costume are complementary living in these village communities. The regional diversities of natural economy, folk history and the successors of folk arts form difference national costume tradition.Through oral and image information from fieldwork, and local ethnology research, the article restores researching object to cultural and ecological systems of specific village communities by living cultural research method. The article also shows ontology of costume and paper-cutting, successors and cultural succession, then illustrates cultural present situation and affecting factor. According to specific issues, such as the uniqueness of costume and paper-cutting in Mayou village, folk cultural transmission area, the correlation of epic and costume tradition, the effect of representative successors etc, the article analyzes the causes in cultural ecology. |
