Li Changchun Art Of The Erhu

Erhu, which is one of the most important bow-stringed instruments in the family of Chinese musical instruments and also a folk musical instrument beloved by the public, is suitable to express deep sorrow and depict the spectacular scene. Its beautiful melody and meticulous and diversified performing techniques are deeply welcomed by Erhu amateurs and professionals for years. Li Changchun is an Erhu performer and educator with profound Erhu artistic cultivation, who dedicates to the Erhu education over thirty years. He expands and innovates in the Erhu performing arts and the Erhu music composed by him is welcomed by people and has been used as teaching material for students in specialized musical colleges. This paper aims to make a proof all-round in the fields of the formation road of Li Changchun Art, the inheritance relationship between Erhu creation and Qin Erhu school, and the enlightenment and contribution of Li Changchun's Erhu teaching characteristics and musical instrument reformation on Chinese Erhu development. Combinated with practical knowledge and personal experience of improvement on learning, performing and teaching, this paper stimulates the further thinking of people on Li Changchun Art and makes a comprehensive study of Li Changchun Erhu Art. This paper will play an important role to promote an upward development of the Erhu Art and rich the relevant theoretical studies in the Erhu Art.
