Body image is the overall individual performance about their owe bodies, including thingking,sensibility and behavior.In the West, the research into body image has a long history, and has formed more systemic therioes and mature scales. However, the research into body image in China is in developing. Adolescent are in a period that the rapidly developing on body and psychology, and always pay more intention on themselves and have a high awareness about other's evaluation. The attitude about body can cause more psychological and behavioral promblems.Our study aims at high school students, considering that their body image has effects on self-confidence with much feelings and behaviors.Useing Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnarie(MBSRQ), Self-acceptance Questionnaire(SAQ), Perceived social support scal(PSPP) and Youth Self-Confidence Inventory(YSCI) on 410 students to explore high school students' body image and the effects on self-confidence.The results are following:(1) High school students' body image is positive, but more students are on a low leval comparing the students on high level. The body dissatisfaction is higher for female than male.The body dissatisfaction is lowest in first grade.(2) High school student's self-confidence is very high. Male is higher than female,and the first grade students are lower than the second and third grade students.(3) High school students'body image has positive relations with self-confidence, self-acceptence and perceived social support, and has effects on them.(4) High school students'body image can influent one's self-confidence. Self-acceptence and perceived social support are partly as medium.(5) High school students'attitude about the body effects one's psychology and behaviors, and the appearance is the most important factor.
