"LIUTAO" is a book on the art of war which contains the most words and most abundant contents in the existing and ancient ones, it melts politics and military, advocates kindheartedness and justice for a strong country, which has been called the comprehensive expression of the masterpiece during the Qin Dynasty, considered an important corpus for studying ancient Chinese language.The author uses the historical and systematic point of view according to "LIUTAO" for basic corpus, spreads a systematic and in-depth study for the question and determinative sentence in the way of combining quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, static description and induction of sentences, and its exhaustive statistics. The author also uses the tabular form showing the two sentences in "LIUTAO" comprehensively and intuitively, revealing the evolution of Chinese law on sentences for the ancient history of Chinese grammar and the whole Chinese history research an important Qin Dynasty corpus and theoretical reference."LIUTAO" includes in total of 130 questions which have been divided into two major categories of asking question and rhetorical sentence. In the period, it is very active that the interrogative pronoun "He" expresses doubt, and the word as object must be placed in front of verbs and prepositions. The usual format constituted of "He" contains:"Ruohe", "Naihe", "Ruhe", "Heru", "Heyi", "Weizhinaihe", and so on. As interrogative pronoun, "Ji" expressed the number of inquiries or variable number, acted unknown or quasi-quantifiers generally in ancient times."LIUTAO" includes in total of 154 determinative sentences which have been divided into seven categories according to the different kinds of constructions and forms. It is obvious that the ancient Chinese sentence was flexible and diverse, the determinative sentence without copula acted as the main form. In the later period of Warring States, determinative sentence with copula had appeared, but that was still in its infancy, was not matured.
