The combination of poetry and paintings art couldn't represent the Chang'an culture more. Further more, the art of poetry and paintings is more acceptable for those students who have certain knowledge. Therefore, the thesis aims at the combination art of poetry and paintings. By appreciating and tasting those works, the author researched the art of combination of poetry and paintings from different perspectives and analyses the characteristics of this art with the Chang'an culture as the background and base.The new curriculum proposes that, building the system of the national curriculum, the local curriculum and the school curriculum is very essential. Due to the unbalanced economic and cultural development, the relatively authority---national curriculum couldn't ignore the local curriculum any more. Therefore, the new curriculum pays much attention to the exploitation and development of the local curriculum within the three curriculums. As the central city in researching the Chang'an culture, Xi'an, which shares abundant historic resources, could give much support in doing the Chang'an local curriculum research while the local curriculum is still on the way.Due to the complexity of the Chang'an culture, the thesis aims at the combination art of poetry and paintings and mingles this with the local curriculum exploitation. This thesis proposes some references and suggestions under the guide of the advanced theories on the new curriculum reforms. This thesis can be divided into four parts.Part one is about the theoretical basis for exploitation of the combination art of poetry and paintings. This part of the basis, respectively, from the cultural theory, art theory and the new curriculum theory of three angles. The Cultural theory basis mainly introduces the relevant content of Chang'an culture and the development process of ancient Chinese poems and paintings. The art theory analyzes from two aspects of the theory and type of the combination art of poetry and paintings. The type of the combination art of poetry and paintings describes from writing painting poetry by poets, painting beauty in poetry, poetic meaning of drawing works, and painting by poets and writing poetry by painters of four aspects.Part two analysis the theory value of the topic with the guide of the new curriculum reform;Analyzing the status of the local curriculum as the practice value in order to analyze the value significance of the combination of poetry and paintings art in local curriculum development of Xi'an.Part three raises the requests and strategies of the poetry and paintings combination art in Xi'an local curriculum system, and the thesis introduces the organization of the relative curriculum and writing of teaching books, what will be included in the books, the concrete carrying of each unit and the activity designs. This course is designed to three sections which include reading appreciation, comb discovery and exploration practice, provided both theoretical study and practical courses that the students have.Part four offers some suggestions both from teachers and students.In the end of the thesis, the author proposes the problems that should be payed attention to during exploring the curriculum of the poetry and paintings' combination: the accuracy of this problem; the relations among the poetry and paintings' combination curriculum exploration and the local Xi'an curriculum and the globalization which could guarantee the exploration and carrying on of the poetry and paintings'combination within the Xi'an local curriculum.
