Shaanxi Province Agricultural Improvement Study (1938-1945)

After the outbreak of Anti-Japanese War, Nanjing national government in order to ensure the supply of food stores across the country, on the one hand, he adjusted the central authorities and founded the economic department, which had setting the forestry department for the responsible of national forestry work, with the specific affairs conducted by the central agricultural experiments and the agricultural promote committee, and the agricultural experiment authority who directly under them. On the other hand, he also instructed the local government concentrate manpower and material' to establish unified agriculture organization, thus Shaanxi agriculture-improving organization merged as the times required.This organization is the only comprehensive institution in both agricultural and administrative in the period of Anti-Japanese War, who plays a very important role in the process of agricultural modernization in shaanxi. But so far, academia hasn't carries on a comprehensive study for this subject. So, this thesis attempts to analysis the organization through using the Archives material of Shaanxi agriculture-improving organization who collected in shaanxi archives, and explore its development at that time, and seek the reference for the present social.This thesis falls into introduction,text and conclusion parts. The introduction part defines the researched object and the methods, characteristics and thinking used in the the research process.The first chapter introduce the historical background of the Shaanxi agriculture-improving organization's establish, which include domestic environment and province state. The second chapter outline the profile of Shaanxi agriculture-improving organization throng the study of its organization, rules, personnel, sources of funding and so on.The third chapter mainly discusses the business activities carried out by this organization which includ agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and veterinary. The fourth chapter evaluates the Shaanxi agriculture-improving organization in the period of Anti-Japanese War, and proposes its positive effects as well as points out its evil inherent, and also makes some suggestions for today's agricultural development.The conclusion part general discussion Shaanxi agriculture-improving organization again which has talked in this article.The author draws a conclusion that as the only comprehensive institution in both agricultural and administrative in the period of Anti-Japanese War, Shaanxi agriculture-improving organization plays a very important role in the war and the process of agricultural modernization in shaanxi, because he had done a lot of experiment and research and widely promotion throng established a standardized system of organizations. But, because of the war, the organization also appeared some problems like unbalanced development, which had affected its actual scores.So, when we promote China's socialist modernization construction,we have to learn from the history,take long and avoid short, and also pay attention to agriculture-survey, agriculture-produce and agriculture-promotion, so that we may achieve comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development.
