On The Mozart Opera Image Creation Of The Mercy Of Tito Cesto

This thesis analyzes the character of Sesto in Morzat's Opera La clemenza di Tito from three aspects. Firstly, it interprets the character in the libretto, and then it analyzes Sesto's two arias in terms of music to generalize Sesto's image feature embodied in the composer's creation. Finally, through the analysis on the singing editions of two singers of Teresa Berganza and Vesselina Kasarowa, it reveals the differences built in the second creation based on composer's idea on the feature of Sesto and then makes a summarize. The study in this subject replenishes the current situation of the lack of study on this opera in our country, which has important valuable significances on vocal teaching and performance as well as helps us for a better understanding and singing of this opera.
