The first way is to choose which groupfor one to join in mainly based on personal preference, during which Hakkamusic serves as the medium. This process plays a vital role in keeping Hakkamusic activities popular among local people. The other means of interactionbuilding is based on the bond through inheritance. This process integratespeople of different ages and enables individual taste to be influenced by oneanother. Group activities involving these two modes of interaction actuallydetermine the existence of the living Hakka music. This phenomenon reflectsthe existence of a musical genre.
