Public service ads as an important part of the advertising industry, its purpose and function is to guide and influence social thought, and service public. In the present pluralistic society, public values and ideas showing a trend of diversification and thus public service ads whicih guide and regulate its growing play an important role. The documentary photography as a form of public service ads, with other manifestations do not have the characteristics that enable public service ads to achieve a better effect. This passage talk about public service advertises and documentary photography ,introducing the development of public service advertises and their social attributes and dissemination, as well as artistic documentary photography and advertising features. On the ground of these two areas, we talk about the contradictions between documentary and dissemination,and then wo get a conclusion that only make both of them fused together,can they have a good development.
