his thesis focuses on the establishment and the evacuation of Polish Army on Soviet territory during 1941-1942 while Second World War. The author analyzed the documents concerning with the background and courses of the event, and took it as an example to discuss the co-operation and conflict among the great powers and between the powers and small nations during the early stage of the War. Polish government in exile resumed the diplomatic relations with Soviet Union when the Soviet-Nazi War broken in mid-1941, and formed a Polish Army on Soviet land soon later. But actually it was a 揵yproduct?of the deal between Britain, United States and Soviet Union, although it also conformed with the initial aim of Sikorski, the Premier of Poland, to consolidate his status and rescue his fellowmen who were deported to the Soviet Union. Since the eruption of the War the Britain Government had been trying to pull Soviet Union to stand with anti-Fascist camp, the breaking of Soviet-Nazi War made it possible, therefore, the Britain did not hesitate sacrificing the Polish interests at a certain extent to obtain the co-operation with Russia. At same time, Soviet Union terribly needed the aid from westerns to defeat German invasion, so Soviet Government agreed to resume the relations with Poland and promised to establish a Polish Army, because Polish Government was in London and it should be thought as a friendly gesture to Britain. United States had been involved into the War since Pearl Harbor, but did not deeply concern the triangle relations桞ritain, Russia and Poland, just for insisting on Principles of the Atlantic Charter. No nation really wanted this Army to take military contribution in the war; evacuation was its logical result. The experience of this Polish Army incarnated the co-operations and conflicts among different nations in the anti-Fascist camp. They made a united front for common aim, but different interests still existed, the small nation become the victim of their bargain, such as Poland.
