Scholars In Tang Dynasty Poetry About Immortals

This dissertation, taking the Wonderland Traveling Poems written by poets in Tang Dynasty, is devoted to analyze the cause and origin for the splendor of such Poems and discuss their development and features during different periods in Tang Dynasty. The dissertation consists of four parts: the first part makes a brief introduction to the background when Wonderland Traveling Poems first appeared, and also reviews their development before Tang Dynasty and summarizes their themes. The second part probes into the influence of Taoism on the Poems to explore their source of development. The third part deals with different phases of the development of ~~ionderland Traveling Poems, dividing the whole period into early stages, r.Iourishing stages, mature stages and declining stages. The fourth and also the last part focuses on the themes of 憕Yonderland Traveling Poems which in Tang Dynasty contain some novel and fresh subjects, and therefore to further discuss the value of such Poems. From the analysis, it抯 intended to make a systematic and comprehensive presentation of Wonderland Traveling Poems.
