| D-H-Lawrence and Yu dafu were both fictionists who had artistic talent but gave rise to serious controversy in English and Chinese modern literature. Concerning the significance of sexual love in the relationship of both sexes and the development of society, they both made a great amount of analyses and deep thought. The resemblances of experiences, motif, the way of writing and the destiny of their works make the possibility of comparative study between them. Proceeding from the motif of sexual love, this thesis analyses their diversities and resemblances of two writers from different countries. From those analysis, the thesis infers the diversities and resemblances of aesthetics and cultural spirit between Chinese and Western. |
