Northwest Hui Banquet Music And "flowers" Of A Comparative Study

The banquet melody is a sort of national and traditional songwidely performed during the Huis wedding party in the northwest area (Gansu,Qinghai and Ningxia) and huaer is kind of folk love song prevailing in thenorthwest area.The banquet melody has its unique form of perfonnance,melody, beat, structure and performance skill, its melody is similar to .Huaer, butit is different from Huaer. This paper tries to correct the wrong idea about thebanquet melody and Huaer, and shows the differences between them. On thebasis of the research on the class, feature and performance style of the banquetmelody in the northwest area, and a comparative study on the content andmelody of Huaer, this paper states that there is a clear difference between thebanquet melody and Huaer in term of conception and feature.
