Epistemology And Experience On The Integration Of Literary Criticism Theoretical System

As a new course, literary criticism is an important part of Literature and Art. Unfortunately, its connotation has never been completely revealed under the traditional viewpoint of criticism. Literary criticism is destined, because of its status of affiliating to literary creation, to the incapability in reaching "self-consciousness" and further "being creation". The argument in this paper, defines newly the connotation of literary criticism. It determines with appreciation the particular 'creation' character of literary criticism through expounding in detail the relation between literature and criticism which supplementing each other. It makes at last a simple analysis to the development of present ideas of literary criticism in both China and foreign countries, advocates a lenient posture to the methods and styles of literary criticism which emerge endlessly under the circumstances of poly-penetration of thesis in new century, and points out the indispensability of establishing a new theoretic system of literary criticism consolidated by epistemology and experientialism.
