Early Review Of The Relief Work In Hebei Province

In 1949, Hebei Province was flood striken , which caused a lot of difficulties in people's livelihood and production. In order to reduce the loss which caused by the disaster, Hebei Provincial Committee of Communist Party and government made a correct policy of "support oneself through work relief and thrifty". Numerous cadres went down to the forefront of disaster relief to lend the people in flood梥triken area to restore and develop production and made a living with their own hands .The thesis is divided into three parts:The first part: The serious condition of a disaster of the early days of P.R.China.The second part: Establishing disaster relief policy and developing much disaster relief work .The disaster relief measures include six aspects: 1. Developing agriculture and sideling production. 2. Promoting thrift , contribution and raising funds. 3. Relieving the victims. 4. Resettling the victims and emigrating to Dong Bei. 5. Developing education. 6. Promoting medical health work.The third part: Social significance and experience of the disaster relief work. The triumph of this disaster relief is of great social significance. It not only alleviated the harm that caused by the disaster but also grew the Party and government's prestige and accumulated positive experience of disaster relief.
