Ideological And Political Work Of Zhou Enlai War Period Theoretical Studies

Zhou Enlai, the important member in the first leadership with comrade Mao Zedong as the core is not only the great proletarian revolutionary, strategist and politician but also the chief creator of Ideological and Political Work (abbreviated as IPW) of CPC and PLAC . During the War of Resistance Against Japan (abbreviated WRAJ), facing the complicated situation of intensification of national contradictions and CPC-Kuomintang cooperation, he put forward IPW theory creatively which guaranteed and promoted the victory of the fight against Japan and left the wonderful page in CPC's history .From such point of view as both theory and practice combination, the thesis studies and analyzes preliminarily the basic content, characteristic's, value and significance of IPW theory during this period.Based upon the careful investigation on the revolutionary army and the practical analysis of WRAJ, Zhou Enlai pointed out that political work of revolution is the life line of national revolution, which made clear the important role of IPW . During the special period of WRAJ, he emphasized that IPW of WRAJ must submit and serve to mobilize all kinds of forces to fight against Japan unitedly , strive for the general aim and task of WRAJ's victory, publicize CPC's ideas and policies about WRAJ among all walks of life positively. And he also emphasized that according to the practical situation and the different levels of understanding among the people inside and outside the CPC, the Army and the messes, political work of WRAJ must determine different educational purposes and contents so as to consolidate and develop the Party organization, mobilize the public, educate and encourage the Armymen, raise workers' and peasants' consciousness against Japan to the high level, and inspire the soldiers' bravery to kill enemies as well . Therefore, IPW for this special period must stick to such principles as educating the Party member by Marxism-Leninism, consolidating the inside and disintegrate the enemy forces, set up the solid secrete CPC and the effective IPW's organization system in the Army, renovate the existing IPW, and what's more, carry out the IPW by qualified personalities in this field . Meanwhile, it must pay attention to IPW methods and tactics in order to adapt to the special situation in the areas ruled by kuomintang.Above mentioned IPW theories advocated by Zhou Enlai which embodies such important principles as seeking truth from facts and following the mass line are filled with the idea of dialectics, and have their own characteristics .For one thing, these theories have enriched and perfected Mao Zedong's IPW theory , played important role in WRAJ. For another , some ideas of them ,for instance , the inference about "life line" , methods and tactics about IPW ,will be used for reference to deal with the relationship between IPW and professional work , strengthen and improve IPW during the new era of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
