The Baihua Life Aesthetic Research

Among the diversified schools of Chinese aesthetics in 20 century, living aesthetics is famous for its unique horizon of theory. Zong-Baihua is one of the creaters of modern living aesthetics. Engaging study to his aesthetic theory is in favour of combing the theory orientation of living aesthetics and formulating its contributions to the development of Chinese aesthetics.The thesis begins at the philosophy foundation of Zong-Baihua1 s living aesthetics and analyses his aesthetics background of Chinese and Western living philosophy. Zong-Baihua is affected by western living philosophy, but his theory's background is based on Chinese traditional philosophyYne second part of the thesis elucidates Zong-Baihua thougnts' turn from philosophy to art and aesthetics and drscusses the living-logy, basis aeslaetic sense and the living connotation of" YiJing ' in his aesthetic theories.In addition, the thesis expounds the modernity of Zong-Baihua's living aesthetics from three points of view: poetical deliverance, ecological wisdom and the modern view-point of traditional aesthetics.The last part of the thesis, author critical rethinks the aesthetic deliverance.
