Huang Zhou Xing Study

Huang Zhouxing belongs to the rare that is worthy to research from comprehensive respects among the writers at the turn of Ming and Qing Dynasty. His life was full of frustrations and surges, but he was loyalty to nationality to death. There are many discussions about his name and appellation, birthplace and residence, death date and death place. The thesis is to deal with those problems and draw the outline of his life. After "Jia Shen" insurrection, Huang Zhouxing drifted from place to place, homeless and miserable. The places to which he had been can be traced to Min, Yue, Wu, and Xiang, and the people with whom he had associated were increased much. Huang Zhouxing contributed a lot to some literature fields, such as poem, classical Chinese novel, drama's writing, and even drama's theory. His contribution was characterized by subjectivity, contemporaneity and regionality. Due to complexity in thought, profusion in motion, flexibility in form, and specialty in style, his poems played an import role in poems of poets left by Ming Dynasty. His classical Chinese novels and dramas are of great practical value, and emitted rays of idealism. His drama theory is of penetrating judgment in writing partition and writing method of drama, and shouldn't be negligible part in the history of drama theory.
