There are a large amount of Buddhist scriptures in the Tang Dynasty, but these Buddhist scriptures have not been paid great attention to. The dissertation makes a study on YiJing's translated Buddhist texts and writings who was a famous Buddhist translator of the Tang Dynasty. It focuses the discussion on the texts of religious disciplines and put emphasis on everyday expressions.It makes a detailed study of every series of words about the same semanteme from both synchronic and diachronic perspectives, presenting the contrast of these words by statistical charts. There are varied expressions about a semanteme with the old words and the new words in his texts, and one of these expressions is frequently used. The disyllabic is main form of vocabulary, particularly formed with two synonymous word.There are a lot of new words and new senses which would not be seen in the native secular literature. And of these words a part came from colloquial language.YiJing's translated Buddhist texts and writings are precious linguistic material for research because of quite a few colloquial elements.
