As one of the largest countries of Asia, India and China have enjoyed a long friendly history. But during the last half-century the eastern Sino-Indian border dispute, especially " McMahon Line Issue" became one of the important facts that affected the relationship of India and China. From history point of view, it was British imperialists who hatched the plot. British was one of the countries that invaded Tibet earliest. Its aim was to open the southeast door of China to earn more economy interests so that it could connect its Indian colony and its sphere of influence around the Yangtze River area and gain access of trade. However, this ambition met the hard resistance of the Qing Government and Tibetans and Russia as well. Therefore when British scrambled for Central Asia with Russia, it also hatched its South Asia strategic aim, which was in name of India belonging to British to intrude Tibet area, persuaded Tibet to be independent from China and turned it into a buffer state between Russia and India so as to contain Russia to expand southward. British invasive actions toward China's Tibet brought terrible influence on both the relationship between China and Tibet and Sino-India. Newly independent India inherited "Simla Pact" and "McMahon Line" from British imperialists and held McMahon Line as Sino-India eastern borders ?Thus burst out disputes of Sino-India eastern borders and remained till today. There includes three parts in the text. Part One explores British invasive actions in Tibet and analyzes its strategic attempt and how it hatched a plot of establishing a border along Himalayas in order to keep its rule over India and guard against China. Part Two mainly discusses British plot of separating Tibet from China and how the illegal "McMahon Line "came into being after the Revolution of 1911.Part Three analyzes that India inherited British policy toward Tibet and recognized "McMahon Line" which became the reason of eastern Sino-Indian border dispute and led to massive armed clash .The conclusion part analyzes the effect ofSino-India eastern dispute issue on Sino-India relationship and sums up the whole text.
