The study investigated the basic status of emotion regulation and the difference among different interpersonal colony in using emotion regulation types for high school students in shanghai. The study constructed a Student Emotion Regulation Questionnaire based on literature summary and opened questionnaire. It can be used to measure emotion regulation types in high school and acquired the status of emotion regulation types; and we also used the questionnaire compare the well interpersonal relationship students and bad relationship students to find the difference in using emotion regulation types. The result can provide the effect and practical instruct to construct well interpersonal relationship in high school students. The results suggested: (1) Through the questionnaire, we divided the emotion regulation of high school students into eight types: emotion expression, seeking help of emotion, relax, cognitive coping, oppression, cry, emotion displace, avoidance. The order of using eight types was: relax, emotion expression, cognitive coping, avoidance, oppression, seeking help of emotion, emotion displace and cry;(2)Emotion expression and relax was the major types in the regulation of positive emotion, other emotion types aimed at negative emotion regulation;(3)There was significant sex difference in the emotion expression, seeking help of emotion, relax and cry, and females use more often than males.(4)The popular students used seeking help in emotion, cognitive coping and emotion expression more than using other types. The rejected students usually use oppression to regulation their emotions; (5) There was no significant difference among the four different interpersonal colony in relax, cry and emotion replace, but we also saw the difference in times of using these types.
