Sartre is a famous philosopher of the existentialism, Man s Freedom is his philosophic center to talk about with core contents. In western countries, his philosophy was called "free philosophy , and had great influence on the society.In Chinese philosophy field, on philosophy of Sartre has beginning sys-tematically research since the reform and open policy. But generally, there are still some problems, especially its meaning hasn' t been announced enough to public. Therefore, there is very important meaning to make a Marxism s ap-praisal of it practically and realistically, and go deep in to announce its en-lightenment to public. It s benefit to make deep studies on Sartre s theory of freedom, also can make people right cognition in Sartre' s philosophy, absorb its reasonable factors, devote positively to the realistic lives and practice.The full thesis is divided into three greatest parts totally:The first part of it dwells on the formation background, theories origin and formation development processes of Sartre' s theory on freedom. Sartre' s theory on freedom is the outcome of which France experienced at the end of 20' to 60' s end, the economic crisis, the crisis of nation conquered, the dissimila-tion of man and the spirit crisis. The free thought of the ancient Rome and Greece, latter- day s freedom, especially the free thought of the Humanism from the middle 19 centuries are the thought origin having certain relation with Sartre s theory on freedom. This thesis divides the formation of it into threestages, distinguishing with three important works: "Being and Nothingness", "existentialism and "Critique of Dialectical Reason .The second part of it generalizes systematically and expatiates brand - ne-wly on the main contents of Sartre's theory on freedom from six aspects: Free-dom and being; Freedom and choice; Freedom and circumstances; Freedom and duty; Freedom and inevitability; personal freedom and others' .The third part of it analyses and inquiries into the blemish, rationality of Sartre's theory on freedom, and its enlighten for us. Sartre's theory on free-dom is a kind of idealistic and metaphysical free view: His "freedom" is really "will freedom ; The freedom equals to the person s essence, and the founda-tion of world; Absolute freedom rejecting inevitability; Individualism rejecting others and the society. Reasonable factors or worthy argumentations are: The objection to deterministic and environment - determinism; Man should create one s life by positive activity; The choice should be responsible for not only oneself, but also the whole people. To value and develop person's freedom; totranscend and create constantly-this is the grave enlightenment Sartre' s "free philosophy" imparting to us.
