The research of Zhuang Zi in northern Song dynasty is very important in the history of development of Zhuang Zi. This not only because northern Song period is the another climax in the development of the research of Zhuang Zi after Wei and Jin dynasty, but also because the research of Zhuang Zi in this period has its own character that shows the trend of obvious Confucianism and opens a new road to the research of Zhuang Zi. The goal of this paper is intended to know the whole look of the research of Zhuang Zi in northen Song even Song dynasty by the way of the analysis of the common Confucian traint of Wang Anshi and his pupils'research of the Zhuang Zi.The paper is composed of three sectors .The first sector is to mainly analyse the Confucian traint of Wang Anshi's research of Zhuang Zi. In the article Comment on Zhuang Zhou, by the way of trying to seeking to the intention of Zhuang Zi when reading it, Wang Anshi first pointed out that Zhuang Zi helped correct the people's fraud and his heart was the disciple of Saint which has a profound and lasting effect on the researchers. Besides ,Wang Anshi discarded Zhuang Zi's empty doctrine , absorbed the helpful political thoughts of Zhuang Zi'offspring and took an Confucian operation on them in the point of view of the pragmatism . The second sector summarises the disciples of Wang Anshi's common Confucian traint of the research of Zhuang Zi. By making full use of Wang Anshi's reading way of trying to seeking to the intention of Zhuang Zi when reading it, Wang Anshi's disciples thought that Zhuang Zi correct the people's fraud, respect the Saint and what Zhuang Zi do is very right without accepting Wang Anshi's point that Zhuang Zi's theory is a heresy; They neatly applied the above way to distinguish Saint's remains and Saint's heart, and self-consciously safeguarded the status of the Confucian Saint, such as Confucius; Or applied the above way to virtue and morality, ceremony and music, affirmed the heart of the virtue and morality, denied the remains of the virtue and morality, and self-consciously safeguarded the Confucian virtue and morality, ceremony and music;The school of Wang especially loved the Zhuang Zi's theory of nature and fate , but they added the Confucian content to it to a different extent; They also absorbed the helpful political thoughts of Zhuang Zi while taking an Confucian operation on them, which inherited from Wang Anshi. Besides, they used a great deal of classical Confucian texts to explain Zhuang Zi, compared the words of Saint to Zhuang Zi's , so as to mix the thoughts of two schools together. All above absolutely make Zhuang Zi a Confucian work under the pen of the school of Wang. The third sector mainly simply analyses the cause of the school of Wang's Confucian phenomenon of the research of Zhuang Zi in three ways : It is certain that Confucianism ,Buddism and Taoism should interact and mix together , so the confucain trend of Zhuang Zi; The school of Wang was innovationist in northern Song, the Confucian ZhuangZi was one of their propaganda and theory weapons of their politic reforming ; Influenced by LiXue, the school of Wang's research of Zhuang Zi shows the colour of IiXue . At last the article simply depict the effect of Confucian Zhuang Zi in northern Song on researcher of later generations in history.
