The Richard Huai Telai Fallacy Theory

This paper is mainly to study Richard Whately's theory of fallacy,which is known as second landmark of fallacy research. It can be divided into four parts. The first part introduces the general situation of fallacy theory's developing in China and the western countries. Then traces to its source and introduces Whately's theory of fallacy. The second part analyses Whately's fallacy theory , and emphasizes fallacy's definition and classification, gives prominence to the objections and arguments to Whately's fallacy classification. In the third part ,the paper summarize his theory influence and origin by the compare his theory with severl important fallacy theory .The fourth part is a review of his theory of fallacy and valuate the theory signification of it.
