As for logical fallacies, the traditional textbooks of Logic usually stopped further study when the naming is done or the formal description is given to the named fallacies, nonetheless, the actual reason(cause) of the fallacy and the way to avoid it has never been illustrated profoundly and abundantly by the traditional textbook of Logic. This paper is under the background of the cognitive turn of Logic. Introducing Daniel Kahneman’s cognitive theory, the logical fallacies mentioned above as well as the analyzes to those fallacies of relevant authoritative logic textbook are analyzed, trying to find out the actual causes of several fallacies, and the more effective way to avoid them.In this paper, the first chapter is the preparatory discussions chapter, aiming at introducing cognitive scientist Daniel Kahneman’s cognitive theory and the related background; the second chapter is to analyze how the authoritative textbook of logic illustrates the gambler’s fallacy, hasty generalization, fallacy of conjunction, illicit major, affirming the consequence and discuss what is missed in those textbooks about the actual cause of those fallacies as well as the way to avoid them; the third chapter is to propose some advices about how to avoid those fallacies more effectively; and the final part of this paper is the conclusion part, which is to do some further study about what this paper intent to do under the background of the practical turn and the cognitive turn of logic.
