Friedrich Schiller's theory of Aesthetics is the reflection of his thoughts in the humanities and sociology. Taking the integrated humanity as a precondition, Schiller made a incisive criticism at the capitalistic industrial society .Schiller is dead against the social condition and cultural construction in western modern society and he devoted himself to expose the dissimilation and spilt of humanity which were hidden by developed industry. Then Schiller collected all these theories to support his beautiful ideality, that is to get human emancipation and harmonious integrated humanity by Aesthetics, to get political freedom by aesthetic freedom. On this basis, Schiller constructed his mansion of Aesthetic theory.Schiller brought to light the political potentiality of Aesthetics and arts in term of human liberty and recovery, putting forward such point of views as 'aesthetic self-discipline', 'aesthetic freedom', 'aesthetic cultural' and 'aesthetic education'. These points of view, have specified and led to pluralization of Aesthetics, expanding greatly the thinking dimension of it, and additionally built a bridge for the aesthetic theories before and after, all of which account for the unique value of his thought recognized in German classic Aesthetic theories and even the whole history of aesthetics.Schiller regarded aesthetic freedom as the only and necessary way for political freedom, took art and Aesthetics as the best prescription for the alienated world, thus bringing mental consolation to those in despair, making the weak civil class in German be hopeful again. However, Schiller's theory haven't realized the truth of capitalistic system itself, failed in making analysis form the view of work and practice, instead resort a Utopia of Aesthetics which can never be realized. Many of Schiller's important unsolved questions were answered by Marx at last. Schiller's ideality has already become our career now. And this is the great consolation we can get when taking a look at his thought again.
