Intellectuals Mission Feelings And Novel Spirit

The starting point of the dissertation is the Intellectual position on Fangfang's works. Around the sense of "Mission" contained in her works, this dissertation discusses the idea in the novels by Fangfang. Fangfang has carried on the enlightment ideology after the May 4th Movement of 1919, and has paid close attention to the weak and small groups in the society. She tries her best to set them free from the social dominant ideas. At the same time , she seeks Humanity. She focus on the relations between environment and humanbeings, Fangfang pays criticism to the changes in humanity in the adverse circumstances. She tortures the cause of the changes during interrogation too. Intellectual as she is ,Fangfang has moulded a series of intellectual: some of them are clear-headed,theythumb thire nose at the world ; some insist entirely; a deputy to true intellectual "Grandfather"; and "Father", one intellectual who was ruined to wither . Moulding intellectuals whose changes follow developing times ,Fangfang has elucidated her idea to intellectual . It is that intellectuals should preserve their character independence , they should be not only learned persons , but also models to hold fast to their valus . Fangfang's idea to intellectual has indicated her idealism , which is humanism .she holds fast to the healthy and civil spirit value for humanbeings. Though her hopes were dashed , she still cherishes her ideals to the culture . The sense of "Mission" is focal point of Fangfang's works , which means to bear responsibility for the society by pen ,and it comes from the writer's idealistic believing . Following the times , it has abandoned preachy flavour , and has drifted apart the general determination in the society of today . We can say that the adherence to the value is the kernel of Fangfang's life .
