In the all of the Chinese directors, ZhangYi-Mou and Li An have the most actual strength to win the championship of world film exhibition. They shake the western and attract the world-wide attention by their famous movies which pound at the international film circles. Their works internationalize the Chinese movies and give an impetus to the comments about Chinese films. On the other hand, these Chinese movies also attract the concern and research of foreign intellectuals and fulfil the cultural exchange and dialogue among different regions and countries.In this thesis, the difference between ZhangYi-Mou and Li An when they are successfully moving towards international films circles will be discussed with a comparative view.The article spreads out the research form four aspects: the cultural intension; the overlapping and interaction of national and international character; the narration formation and tragedy sentiment; the observe bearings and the expression stand. By such research we conclude the different and identical methods through which the two directors produce international popular films. This thesis expounds their successful roads which are valuable reference and enlightenment for other Chinese movies. Finally, the now and future of Chinese films is prospected in the article as well.
