On The Structural Types Of Words

In our country the study of Chinese figurative words has been made for many years, but still many problems remain, such as their proper name, quality, classification and so on. This paper puts forward some considerations on these problems.This paper consists of five sections. Section one tries to identify the name of figurative coinage means and figurative words. Section two discusses the compounds composed of figuration. In Section three, we discuss Gudingyu (including Chengyu, Guanyongyu, Xiehouyu, Zhuanmenyongyu and Zhuanmingyu) composed of figuration. Following we discuss new words composed of figuration.. The paper ends with some hot problems concerning about figurative words.
