"The Ideological Trend of New Democracy" is one of the most important enlightenment trends in the later period of Qing dynasty in China. From the end of the 19 th century to the early 20 th century, Yanfu, Liang Qichao, and other thinkers of enlightenment, accepted the cruel fact that there was a big gap between China and western countries, reflected from different perspectives with the changing times and ill turning national fate. With the deeping of understanding , they paid attention to the differences among human beings and nations. "New Democracy" was looked upon as the foundation and premise to save the nation in peril, to strengthen the country and to enrich the people. So we spread out argument about the question of national character , form a new tidal current of advanced thinking culture in the modern-time in China. In this paper , "New Democracy" is the center, I have five aspects to write with thorough overall elaboration and analysis. These five aspects include engender sources , annotations , channels and the evaluations of "New Democracy" . Yanfu, Liang Qichao, Zourong, Tan Sitong and others are considered as some points to take on "side" of "The Ideological Trend of New Democracy" occurrence and development. We can pay attention to position and influence of Qing dynasty from one point to side . This ideological trend was brewed in WuXU reform period and formed in the early 20 th century. It not only embodys passion and meditation of Chinese intellectuals at the intersecting of the two centuries, and the ideological trend changes' tendency and thinking focuses' transform in China society, but also directly turns into a forerunner of remaking character in "May 4th" period. When historical wheel is moving to today, facing to the reality of our homeland' s economy and culture are relatively backwarder than developed countries, facing to the world of science and technology are developing every day and permeating with contradictions. If our nation wants to meet challenges to always stand up successfully , we must improve the whole nation' s quality of science and culture, improve citizen' s morality accomplishment. New30Democracy is also one of powerful nation' s basis and presupposition today. This is very different from the views of Yanfu' s and Liang Qichao' s, but this can strengthen our belief to develop education and promote country from science and technology. Therefore the retrospect of 'the history of this period could be very informative to our nation.
