The literature of Shanxi is an important part of Tang Dynasty literature, just as a gorgeous jewel of a crown. Shanxi has a special terrain and important strategic status in politics, warfare, economy and traffic, in which the colourful literature had been created. "Puzhou—Taiyuan" is a very important road through which people might arrive at the area of Northern minority and Hebei. Puzhou and Taiyuan are two ends in the road and also the centers of the Hezhongfu and Hedongfu. There had been lots of literati past through this road, and they had wrote many excellent prose and poetry. These literati include writers going-by and ones engaged in the Mufu. In addition, there had been many Literature-Families along this road, theirs prose and poetry had shown the local literature. This paper chooses "Puzhou—Taiyuan" as the study zone and the two towns Puzhou and Taiyuan as the study center, and tries to show the Shanxi literature and canvass it's contribution and status in Tang Dynasty through studying literati's writing who had acted along this road.
