Plenty of synonyms is a symbol of the developed language. In the past twenty years, it was quite obvious that the research of synonyms of a classic book is a weight-bearing point of ancient Chinese. Ancient Chinese beyond Qin is very significant in the history of Chinese deve- lopment. ZhuangZi is a classic book of ancient Chinese writings beyond Qin, so this thesis attempt to make it as the groundwork of the reserch. The definitions,constitutions and discriminations of synonyms will be observed. All of these is going to be expanded around the one-syllable synonymous nouns of ZhuangZi. The whole research rest on the scientific and technical literature of ancient Chinese. If two (or above two)one-syl I able synonymous nouns of ZhuangZi's pronunciations have no relationships as well as have a identical meaning, they will be induced an array of synonyms existing in the identical meaning. Then, the discrepancies of synonyms will be excavated base on their significances and construct i ons. Fina11y, generalize a conelusion including distribution and style from the collections of the one-syllable synonymous nouns of ZhuangZi.
